This is one of four caches placed by the 2025-2026 Student Poet Laureate of the City of Kenmore!
During their term, every Student Poet Laureate completes a service project for the arts. As such, this geocache is filled with poetry. It is highly encouraged to bring your own poetry, so you can take and leave poems created by the local community! There should also be blank paper and a writing utensil located inside the cache to write your own poetry in the moment, as well as log your find.
The four caches (four for the fourth Student Poet Laureate!) are located in areas historically or aesthetically significant to the City of Kenmore. Twin Springs Park was acquired from King County in 2016. Since then, it's been undergoing refurbishment and environmental rehabilitation. While you visit this cache, I hope you take the time to enjoy the gorgeous wetlands, which include beaver dams, outlooks, and forests! There are easy walking trails to take you through the rest of the park. There is also a wastewater facility on the other side of the park, although access is limited.
The three other poetry geocaches are located very near this one-have fun finding them all!
The cache is large and located about 20-25 feet off the path. It may be swampy in inclement weather, and please be careful/mindful of nature when walking off the trail. There is good parking in the south lot at 80th and 192nd. Don't trespass on the property of the wastewater facility at the northern end of the park. The hint (which is also a poem) pretty much gives the location away.
Happy hunting!
