Everyone is welcome at this event, whether it's your first 'Geocaching thing' or you are a veteran with thousands of finds!
I'm pretty much recycling the format of my previous events as this has worked pretty well over the past few years ... Fortunately the COVID restrictions in force at the first event are no longer an issue!

I've booked the Ngaio Scout hall, as we all know Wellington can have "Four seasons in one day" so we will be sheltered from the elements and can sit down in peace to chat. The hall will be available after 12 - those arriving before the official start of 12.30 will be given jobs to do - consider yourself warned.
I'll provide some Soup (Vegan and Gluten free) and a bread roll to warm us all up. Feel free to bring food to share to add to this. If you have a specific diet you need to follow, please bring something you are comfortable eating.
Once we're fed and watered, let's make the most of the room - I'll have a few puzzles that people can work together as a group to solve. These will be aimed at novice puzzle solvers, but hopefully others will also gain something from them. There may be one or two other cache types - depending on whether I can find suitable locations and ideas. Multis? maybe.......
As events are 'attended' and not found, there will be no FTF awarded for attending this event.
A Joint FTF will be available on any caches released that day for all attending the event if they find and log them before midnight.
Not interested in Puzzles? Come for the Company!
About the venue:
The Ngaio Scout Hall is a good facility for groups, with a well set up kitchen, but does not have Wi-Fi - you'll need to use your own data.
The access road to the Scout Hall is narrow, twisty, and there is very limited parking immediately outside, so I'd like to keep this for anyone who needs to use the Disabled Access ramp. Use the Station Carparks! Or even better, use public transport!
Please indicate in your log how many people will be attending in your group, so I know how much soup I need to prepare, and how many tables to set out. I'll use the 'event log' as a means of recording attendence and contact tracing if necessary.
A 'koha' would be appreciated (but is by no means compulsory) to offset the cost of hiring the hall - as usual, any extra will be donated to the Ngaio Scout Group.
Looking forward to seeing you all!
If anything about the event needs to change, I will update the cache page and put out an announcement as necessary.
