Mo kyrka uppfördes 1664 av grantimmer och ersatte då ett äldre kapell som tidigare låg på östra sidan av sjön, mellan Liveröd och Ramtveten. Befolkningen minskades och man beslöt att flytta den timrade kyrkan till västsidan där det bodde fler människor. Enligt sägnen fick en man i uppdrag att flytta kyrkan som straff för en tidigare förseelse. Kyrkan monterades därför ner stock för stock och timret roddes över sjön till den nya platsen.
År 1893 genomgick Mo kyrka en omfattande renovering. I kyrkan finns bland annat en dopfunt av täljsten, utformad i gotisk stil och daterad till 1300-talet samt två träskulpturer från 1200-talet.
Mo Church was built in 1664 from spruce timbers, replacing an older chapel that had previously been located on the east side of the lake, between Liveröd and Ramtveten. As the population declined in that area, it was decided to move the timber church to the western side, where more people lived. According to legend, a man was commissioned to move the church as punishment for a previous offense. The church was therefore dismantled log by log and the timber was rowed across the lake to the new location.
In 1893, Mo Church underwent a major renovation. The church contains, among other things, a soapstone baptismal font, designed in the Gothic style and dated to the 14th century, as well as two wooden sculptures from the 13th century.
