I began my journey as a Thousand-Miler Wannabe on May 13, 2022. Now, after nearly four years, roughly 1200 miles, and at least one hike each month, the finish line is finally in sight! A goal that once felt so far away will become real with one last 6.8‑mile trek on the Sturgeon Bay segment of the Ice Age Trail.
I’d love for you to join me as I take those final steps and officially complete the entire Ice Age National Scenic Trail on foot. This journey has been challenging, joyful, and beautiful, as well as muddy, buggy and exhausting! Above all, it's been unforgettable—and celebrating it with family, friends and fellow adventurers will make the finish even sweeter!
The event will take place at the Ice Age Trail Eastern Terminus, rain or shine. We’ll toast the finish with cold beverages (and maybe a little champagne) and share some trail magic together! I look forward to seeing you there!
Note: A Wisconsin State Parks sticker is required. Potawatami State Park has major renovations going on this season and some parts of the park are closed - plan a little extra time for navigating the park.
