 Date: Saturday, August 29, 2026 Time: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM Location: The Depot Park pavilion, Ironwood, Michigan (right along the MI/WI border)

 

🧭 About the Event

Join geocachers from both sides of the border as the Wisconsin Geocaching Association (WGA) and the Michigan Geocaching Organization (MiGO) team up for a day of fun, food, and fresh finds. Whether you’re a seasoned cacher or brand new to the game, this is a perfect chance to meet friendly faces from neighboring states and enjoy a summer afternoon outdoors. 🔥 Cookout & Potluck

We’ll be firing up the grills (2) for a casual cookout. Bring your own meat to grill up.  Also please check the WGA & MiGO website for what dish you should bring to pass.  We will provided the hot grills, grilling utensils, ketchup, mustard, and mayo. Come and enjoy a shared meal with fellow adventurers. Picnic tables will be available, but feel free to bring a camp chair if you prefer your own setup.  

 

🗺️ New Caches & Adventure Labs

To celebrate the occasion, we’ll be releasing new traditional caches in the area along with two brand‑new Adventure Labs. Come ready to explore, solve, and log some fresh smileys.There will be side events Friday Night, Saturday Morning, and Saturday Evening.

 

🎲 Games, Activities & Prizes

Expect a mix of geocaching‑themed games and friendly competitions throughout the event. Prizes will be awarded—so bring your best puzzle‑solving brain and your fastest GPS fingers.

 

🔄 Want to trade small shiny objects?

This is your moment. Bring your extras and trade with cachers from both states. You never know what rare designs might show up.

 

🏕️ Lodging & Camping

Ironwood offers nearby campgrounds and hotels, making it easy to turn this into a weekend getaway. Whether you prefer a tent, an RV, or a comfy hotel bed, you’ll find options close to the event site. Visit your WGA or MiGO websites via the links above to see what your options are.
