This is an event to celebrate a long-time friend and geocacher BerkeleyBoomers, who for several well-thought-through reasons is ready to focus on family and follow his Happy Trails toward the sunset.
A “send-off” for BB will be great fun and give him a chance to say "Hi" to so many friends and acquaintances. And he's very happy to offer lots of his extra containers and stuff to help us all continue with this wonderful game.
Special Surprise: There will be a new cache published during the event!
Please plan to join us at 1:30 on Saturday May 30th at Ceasar Chavez Park (soon to be re-named) on the Berkeley waterfront. Come with your stories of shared adventures and be prepared to pick up some treasures!
Appropriately, the next day, Sunday, May 31st is Blue Moon Day - a term for a rare full moon, which is used to describe an infrequent event like this one (often used as "once in a blue moon")!
