*****THIS IS A LETTERBOX HYBRID. DO NOT TAKE THE STAMP THAT IS TETHERED TO THE BOTTOM OF THE CONTAINER. IT IS NOT SWAG*****
What is a letterbox? Here is a brief description. A letterbox requires the finder to navigate to the container using written instructions instead of GPS coordinates. A geocache requires the use of GPS coordinates. Per Groundspeak guidelines , the letterbox hybrid requires the use of GPS coordinates but can still have written instructions. In addition letterboxes must contain a stamp which must remain with the letterbox or letterbox hybrid. Finders of letterboxes often carry a personal logbook that they stamp with the unique stamp found in the letterbox. There is a logbook inside the letterbox that you must sign or stamp with your personal stamp.
Written Instructions for this letterbox hybrid:
You will be navigating across an active disc golf course. Please be respectful of the players. Do not cross a disc golf fairway if it interferes with active disc golf players. Be on the lookout for flying discs.
The posted coordinates take you to the Splinter City Disc Golf course map at the edge of the parking lot. This is your starting point. From here walk in a generally easterly direction approximately 260 feet across the parking lot. You should be at a point where the parking lot joins an old asphalt road at a T intersection. At this intersection turn right, Follow the asphalt path approximately 220 foot until the asphalt path bends to the left. At this point leave the path and travel at an approximately 65 feet at 45 degree angle to the right of the path. You may need to skirt some trees after leaving the path. The cache you seek is about 4 feet off the ground.
Bring your own pen or stamp. There is room for only very small swag.
Orignal contents: Small unactivated US Flag geocoin for the first finder, logbook, small swag.
