DANSK
Opført i perioden 1100-1300 i romansk/unggotisk stil. En overlevering vil vide at kirken har ligget på en hallig som fort og som beskyttelse af Tønder by, og samtidig haft nær forbindelse til Tønderhus.
Teorien understøttes af, at kirken ikke ligger i den største by i sognet, som er Sæd. En anden teori går på, at stedet kan have været et hedensk helligsted.
Vest for kirken ligger Danmarks ældste præstegård fra ca. 1600. Malerier fra 1747 og krucifiks fra 1525.
ENGELSK
Built in the period 1100-1300 in Romanesque/Young Gothic style. Legend says that the church was located on a hallig as a fort and as protection for Tønder, and at the same time had a close connection to Tønderhus.
The theory is supported by the fact that the church is not located in the largest town in the parish, which is Sæd. Another theory is that the place may have been a heathen holy sanctuary.
West of the church is Denmark's oldest vicarage from approx. 1600. Paintings from 1747 and crucifix from 1525.
