Back when the Shimen Reservoir was being built, American engineers came to assist, and the only road connecting their dormitories to the reservoir was originally named 'Xinsheng Road.' However, everyone simply called it American Road. After several petitions, the name was finally approved for official house numbering, making it a recognized administrative name.
