Située sur la commune de Plounevez-Quintin cette chapelle est dédiée à Saint Colomban, moine irlandais et disciple de saint Patrick, qui évangélisa la Bretagne au VIe siècle. Elle a été construite à la fin du XVe siècle et abrite une statue de Saint Colomban datant du XVIe siècle.
La chapelle est organisée selon un plan en forme de croix latine, avec des ailes de transept très développées. Sa façade occidentale est très sobre avec son mur pignon à clocher et une chambre des cloches à arc de plein-cintre. Côté Nord, sur le rampant, à mi-hauteur, on distingue un acrotère (une ornementation placée aux extrémités supérieures des édifices, principalement sur les frontons) en forme de petit personnage assis en ricanant et montrant son anatomie.
En ruine la chapelle a été achetée et restaurée par le curée de la paroisse, Mr Puison au XIXe siècle. Elle sera à nouveau restaurée entre 1982 et 1985. La chapelle et le calvaire tout proche sont inscrits aux Monuments Historiques depuis 1964.

Sur la première pancarte située à droite de l'entrée Ouest de la chapelle, recherchez la date qui se trouve juste après le texte En ruine en 18AB puis sur la seconde pancarte, à gauche de l'entrée Sud, pour retrouver le texte La construction de la chapelle est antérieure à 14CD ...
Il ne vous reste plus qu'à faire un petit calcul pour obtenir les coordonnées de la cache :

Located in the commune of Plounevez-Quintin, this chapel is dedicated to Saint Columbanus, an Irish monk and disciple of Saint Patrick, who evangelised Brittany in the 6th century. It was built in the late 15th century and houses a 16th-century statue of Saint Columbanus.
The chapel is laid out in the shape of a Latin cross, with very pronounced transept wings. Its west façade is very simple, featuring a gable wall with a bell tower and a bell chamber with a semicircular arch. On the north side, halfway up the gable, there is an acroterion (an ornament placed at the upper extremities of buildings, mainly on pediments) in the form of a small figure sitting and grinning, exposing his private parts.
In ruins, the chapel was purchased and restored by the parish priest, Mr Puison, in the 19th century. It was restored again between 1982 and 1985. The chapel and the nearby calvary have been listed as Historic Monuments since 1964.
To find the cache
Head to the coordinates provided to find the two signs that will give you the clues you need to find the final coordinates of the cache.
On the first sign to the right of the chapel’s west entrance, look for the date immediately after the text ‘In ruins in 18AB’; then, on the second sign to the left of the south entrance, find the text ‘The chapel was built before 14CD’...
All you need to do now is perform a simple calculation to obtain the cache coordinates:
