The Taralga Courthouse, located at 27 Orchard Street, was built in 1879 and is notable for its simple design, uncommon for courthouses of the time as it lacked the usual side wings or auxiliary buildings. It served as the venue for petty sessions and a Quarterly Rounds Court every three months. The building closed in 1969 due to a lack of cases.
