Didcot GeoChat Series
After our recently placed GeoCache Series at Great Western Park, in central Didcot, and at surrounding villages, we decided to start hosting a monthly series of casual GeoChats at in Didcot, hoping to meet like-minded local and non-local, old and new GeoCachers, sharing each other's caching stories and memories, discovering and exchanging trackables, in a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. There are also many GeoCaches nearby, so please feel free to find them before or after this event.
This monthly GeoChat is likely to occur during middle of each month, at weekday lunchtime. But this plan may be subject to changes depending on the feedback from the attendees.

Didcot GeoChat #10 (SideTracked Day Special)
When: Monday 10 August 2026, from 12 noon to 1pm
Where: The small square outside of Didcot Parkway railway station, at Station Road, Didcot (please see the published coordinates)
There are several large Pay & Display car parks nearby, please see the published waypoints for more information.
If arriving by train, Didcot Parkway station is well connected via GWR services, from/to London Paddingdon, Reading, Oxford, Bristol, etc.
There is also a pub just across the Station Road, and interested cachers may choose to have a rest there before/after the event. The pub opens at 11am daily and starts to serve food from 11am as well.
What: Celebrating the SideTracked Day and the 19th anniversary of the SideTracked Geocache Series.
All attendees will be able to add a special celebration badge to their geocaching profile.
Meeting like-minded local and non-local, old and new GeoCachers, sharing each other's caching stories and memories, discovering and exchanging trackables, etc., in a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. GeoKids and GeoPets are welcome too!
Why: I started my GeoCaching journey in April 2025 and immediately fell in love with it! I wish to meet more geocachers like you and have some Geochats together. Hope we can become caching friends!
