About this cache: Wild Turkey — “The Forest Drum Major”
The wild turkey doesn’t do subtle.
With a gobble that echoes through the woods and feathers that shimmer in the sunlight, these birds make their presence known. Yet for all their size and swagger, they can take to the air in a burst of speed—and at night, they roost high in the trees like oversized songbirds.
They strut, they call, they perform.
This cache may not gobble—but it’s putting on its own quiet display.
Fun Fact
Wild turkeys can fly up to 55 mph in short bursts.
