About this cache: Beaver — “The Engineer of the Wetlands”
Not all builders carry blueprints. Some carry teeth.
Beavers are among the few animals that actively reshape their environment. A single determined beaver can turn a trickling stream into a thriving wetland—benefiting birds, fish, frogs, and just about everything else.
Look around this area and you may see the evidence: neatly chewed trees, still water where it once flowed, quiet persistence turned into architecture.
This cache honors the humble engineer—no hard hat required.
Fun Fact
Beavers’ teeth never stop growing, which is why they’re constantly chewing—maintenance is mandatory.
