Meet at the posted coordinates in Wisconsin (Iron Belle Walking Trail) and help pick up trash to clean up the parking area and trail that leads to Depot Park in Michigan, and beyond. This short part of the Iron Belle trail (0.68 miles) will take less than an hour to perform the task and takes you from Wisconsin over into Michigan. Event starts at 10:00 am and ends at 11:00 am, rain or shine.
For those that would like would like a little longer walk you could start at Depot Park in Michigan and walk to the posted CITO coordinates along the parallel Iron Belle ATV/UTV Trail and into Wisconsin (0.60 miles) picking up trash and then make the loop along the Iron Belle Walking Trail back (0.60 miles) to Depot Park back in Michigan.
Anyone needing an early morning perk-up to engage in a CITO, Sharon's Coffee is located next door to the posted coordinates. She bakes fabulous cakes, pies, muffins, and has delicious coffee and cold brews to help get you started.
Trash bags will be provided at either end of the trail. Regardless of starting point, all trash will be collected at Depot Park at the end of the CITO. Please bring your own gloves and trash-grabber.
