Welcome to the areas newest park, Hawthorne Park. There are two ways to do this letterbox hybrid.
Option 1
Which image is located on the park sign at the posted coordinates?
If this is the logo on the sign, go to N 42 46.757 W 086 01.580
If this is the logo on the sign, go to N 42 46.656 W 086 01.605
If this is the logo on the sign, go to N 42 46.685 W 086 01.665
If this is the logo on the sign, go to N 42 46.702 W 086 01.530
Option 2
- Start at the posted coordinates
- Walk southwest toward the bathroom and information sign
- Continue heading in that direction across the wooden bridge
- Follow the path counterclockwise around Hawthorne Pond
- Go over a second wooden bridge
- After walking for a bit, you will come to a pair of benches on your left, and a field that would be nice for a picnic on your right - STOP
- Walk into the picnic clearing, and then go to the southern end, and enter the brush
- Once you are a few feet in, you should be able to make your way west, and then northwest for about 35-40 feet
- You are looking for five small trees clumped together, with another two next to them - that's the cache location
