🌾Pirmās Latvijas laikā, Ezermalas ielā tika veiks uzbērums, lai uz Zirgu salu var uzbraukt ar Zirgiem. Zirgu salu sāka izmantot, kā Liepājas pilsētas sauso tualešu izgāstuvi. Tualešus saturu veda ar Zirgu ratiem, tā radās arī nosaukums - Zirgu sala. Skatoties pāri, redzam Atteku salu, kura vēsturiski nebija sala, bet pussala. Vecajā ostmalā vēsturiski bija izveidotas rūpnīcas un pa Bārtas upi caur ezeru pludināja baļķus uz ostu. Lai atvieglotu rūpnīcu darbu tika izrakts kanāls, mākslīgi izveidojot salu. Atteku salā vēsturiski bija airēšanas skola, laivu būdas un arī klubs. Klubā vēl padomju laikos ir notikušas balles un uz tām varēja nokļūt tikai ar pārcēlāju.
🪴Liepājas ezers un Zirgu sala atrodas aizsargājamā teritorijā Nature2000. Tādēļ Zirgu sala veidojas par dabas rekreācijas zonu, attīstot nesteidzīgu pastaigu iespējas, sporta aktivitātes, Dabas māju, kur apgūt STEM programmas.
☕️Lai izbaudītu ezera klusumu un dabas skaņu esam radijuši kafejnīcu “Kubs”, kurā relaksējoši varat atpūsties pēc pastaigas vai sporta aktivitātēm. Vasarā ezeram var pārbrist pāri, bet, ja negribas slapināties, var noīrēt, peldlīdzekļus un apskatīt Liepāju, un Liepājas ezeru no citas puses. Liepājas ezers ir Latvijas makšķer paradīze ar īpaši lieliem lomiem.

🌾In the early days of Latvia, an embankment was built on Ezermala Street so that horses could be driven up to Zirgu Island. Zirgu Island began to be used as a dry toilet dump for the city of Liepāja. The contents of the toilets were transported by horse carts, which is how the name - Zirgu Island came about. Looking across, we see Atteku Island, which historically was not an island, but a peninsula. Historically, factories were established on the old harbor and logs were floated to the harbor along the Bārta River through the lake. To facilitate the work of the factories, a canal was dug, artificially creating an island. Historically, Atteku Island had a rowing school, boathouses, and also a club. During Soviet times, balls were held at the club and could only be reached by ferry.
🪴Lake Liepāja and Zirgu Island are located in the Nature2000 protected area. Therefore, Zirgu sala is becoming a natural recreation area, developing leisurely walking opportunities, sports activities, a Nature House, where you can learn STEM programs.
☕️To enjoy the silence of the lake and the sound of nature, we have created a cafe “Kubs”, where you can relax after a walk or sports activities. In the summer, you can cross the lake, but if you don’t want to get wet, you can rent watercraft and see Liepāja and Lake Liepāja from the other side. Lake Liepāja is a paradise for Latvian fishermen with especially large catches.
