About SideTracked Caches
This cache belongs to the SideTracked series. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. It's a distraction for the weary traveller, but anyone else can go and find it too. More Information can be found at the SideTracked website.
About Shirehampton Station
Shirehampton is a single-platform station on the Severn Beach line.
It sees two trains per hour between Avonmouth and Bristol Temple Meads, with one per hour extending to Severn Beach and Weston-super-Mare.
It opened in 1865, and used to have two platforms, but the line and station was singled in 1970 due to the Beeching cuts.
Services are today operated by class 165s and 166s, with the occational 158 if you're lucky.
Funnily enough, the former SideTracked cache here was my first find, so to go full circle, its replacement is my first hide!
