Árvízi emlékhely Csongrádon – útmutató látogatóknak
Egy különleges, több elemből álló árvízi emlékhelyet láthatsz, amely nem csupán emléktábla, hanem oktató jellegű bemutatóhely is. Ez segít megérteni a folyó viselkedését és az árvizek jelentőségét.
Az összegző tábla az első, amit érdemes megfigyelni. A táblán több mint egy évszázad legnagyobb árvizei szerepelnek. Innen megtudhatod, hogyan változott a Tisza vízszintje 1876 és 2006 között, és hogy miért számítanak kiemelkedőnek a 2000-es és 2006-os árvizek.
Ezután érdemes a lépcső melletti falat is megnézni, ahol kisebb fém táblákat találsz. Ezek különlegessége, hogy nemcsak adatokat mutatnak, hanem a valós vízmagasságot is érzékeltetik. A táblák pontosan ott helyezkednek el, ameddig a víz az adott évben felért.

Flood Memorial Site in Csongrád – A Guide for Visitors
You can see a unique flood memorial site made up of several elements, which is not only a memorial plaque but also an educational exhibition area. It helps visitors understand the behavior of the river and the significance of floods.
The first thing worth observing is the summary plaque. It lists the largest floods of more than a century. From it, you can learn how the water level of the Tisza changed between 1876 and 2006, and why the floods of 2000 and 2006 are considered especially significant.
After that, it is worth taking a look at the wall beside the staircase, where you will find smaller metal plaques. Their special feature is that they not only display data, but also show the actual height reached by the water. The plaques are positioned exactly at the levels the floodwaters reached in each recorded year.
Together, these two elements do more than simply present historical information: they make it tangible how close the water came to the top of the embankment and how serious a danger it posed to the town. It is worth stopping for a moment, looking along the markers, and imagining what it must have been like when the waters of the Tisza rose almost to the top of the flood barrier.
