Across the road from the old Blue Ridge Summt rail road station, now the Blue Ridge Summit library, is a peaceful area where one can sit and read, enjoy a picnic lunch, or partake in one of the many events periodically sponsored by the library. This cache offering has been placed to celebrate all of these. After securing your smiley, stroll to the east of the library porch and spend a few minutes visiting the original log library, a 1992 donation from Sally and Arlyn Madsen.
This will be an easy find for most experienced cachers. The difficulty rating is derived partly from needed stealth and partly from the likelyhood of needing a typical TOTT. Landscaping does not need to be disturbed. While not required, it is recommended that this be a daylight only cache.
