13 June 2024, noon-12:30pm
Join the GeocacheAlaska! team with an event to kickoff Reflections Lake Discovery Day! Find our table (and the event logbook) under the viewing tower at the west end of the lake.
Want to hang around after the event and continue to enjoy the Reflections Lake area? We are recruiting 'field assistants' to help GeocacheAlaska! Inc. present Geocaching to members of the public visiting Reflections Lake during this Discovery Day from noon to 4pm. If you're interested in helping people learn how to use a GPS or an app to find several close-by day caches, indicate your willingness in your 'will attend' post. We're looking for cachers who can help out during one and a half hour shifts from noon to 1:30pm / 1:30pm to 3pm / 3pm to 4:30pm. You're certainly welcome to spend the entire day with us, or whatever amount of time you can, as we talk about getting outdoors and Geocaching. Based on previous years, if the weather is nice, we will stay VERY busy and need lots of help over the course of the afternoon!
Parking is limited. Carpooling in encouraged, so bring a friend!
NOTE: The northbound Peters Creek bridge construction project has affected traffic to the Mat-Su Valley. Please give yourself adequate time for traffic slowdowns in this area.
