Let's Get Outdoors #57: White Bank Park!
For this edition of Let's Get Outdoors I'm featuring a park well south of my usual locations that happens to be a bit more dear to my heart than many of the locations I've featured in the past. You see, White Bank Park is the local park of my childhood. I celebrated at least one of my childhood birthdays here and celebrated several childhood birthdays of my friends here. In the spring of 1991, my senior class gathered right here on this bridge to celebrate our eminent graduation with a group picture.
Ground zero is a footbridge that links up parts of the park that are infinitely accessible by various ways that don't include this bridge. In fact, it might rank as one of the most useless bridges in all of central Virginia. I mean, there's sort of a view of Swift Creek, but I'm not sure this bridge is teh best way to see the water, Either way, let's hang out and talk about geocaching or some other things for a little while!
