HBUSA started in 2018 with 204 geocaches published in Michigan. This year we hope to surpass 250 caches and events to celebrate America’s semiquincentennial! This is #42 in a series about the signers of the Declaration of Independence.
A lawyer and brother-in-law of another signer (George Read), George Ross was initially a loyalist and the Crown prosecutor in Pennsylvania. He became disillusioned with Tory politics and switched his sympathies to independence eventually signing the Declaration. He did not live to see the consequences of his decision passing away in 1779.
