Geocache Description:

2. Unisport. Den nye butik flyttede ind den 2. juni 2025. Det er en butik for fodbold fans. Den sælger ting for både FCK København og LFC Liverpool Football Club. Logoet er en trane.

3. Søjlebørn / Children on pidestal.

I am very fascinated by Jorcks Passage, which is Denmark's first pedestrian street. The entrance to Jorcks Passage is from the pedestrian street, Strøget (Vimmelskaftet) and connects to Skindergade. When I was young and came from the provinces, it was one of the places that absolutely had to be visited. Later we shopped in the Chinese shop and the jewelry store. The shops have changed, but are still exciting, and you can also sit on a bench and enjoy the special atmosphere.

I love offers and bonuses, so there is also a Bonus cache GCBPY5W. The offer is a lovely walk on Strøget and along the canal of about 1 km.

1. Jorcks Passage is very exciting with its special shops and glass roof, so you are sheltered from the rain.

It was built in 1893-95 according to designs by architect Vilhelm Dahlerup and named after the developer, sugar manufacturer Jorck.

People come from far and wide to visit some of the special shops.

Initially, the buildings housed the KTAS telephone company, and later DR Danmarks Radio.

2. Unisport. The new store moved in on June 2, 2025. It is a store for football fans. It sells things for both FCK Copenhagen and LFC Liverpool Football Club. The logo is a crane.

3. Children on pedestal . Look up and notice the beautiful glass roof that covers the entire passage, so you can walk in shelter from the rain. It feels like a large room. It's like a colonnade, and on each pillar, there is a child. They are naked and resemble angels, but do not have wings. You may wonder why they are placed up there? In the national romantic era, it was common throughout Europe to have small children, symbolizing purity and innocence.

4. Jorck. At the end of the passage is the bust of the founder, Carl Reinholdt Waldemar Jorck (1832-1909). He was first a baker in his father's bakery and was associated with a sugar factory. In 1862 he got his own wholesale company in Løngangsstræde. He built the property on the street from 1892 - 1895 and there were both leases and shops as well as KTAS and later DR. His son, Knud, founded a foundation in 1936 with the aim of supporting the education of poor younger people.

5. Games. This store is almost 30 years old and is well known. There is a huge selection of board games, puzzles, games, magic and much more for both adults and children, and my husband loves it.
