Ardgillan Castle and Demesne is a 194 acre estate in north county Dublin. The Demesne features a historic 18th Century Manor House or Castle, a Walled Garden, a Rose Garden with fountain and a Victorian Glasshouse which was recently restored and reopened in 2022. The demesne also features Ornamental Gardens which include The National Potentilla Collection and a magnificent Herbaceous Border. There is a large playground, open parkland, wooded areas, walking trails, dog off lead area, Orienteering Course and café.
The Cache
This is a bonus cache for Ardgillan Gardens Trail, Adventure Lab. On completion of each stage of the Lab cache you will receive a letter, arrange the letters to form a related word, put it in the checker and you will receive the cache coordinates and photo hint. There is a lovely scenic view across the hedge near GZ.
