HBUSA started in 2018 with 204 geocaches published in Michigan. This year we hope to surpass 250 caches and events to celebrate America’s semiquincentennial! This is #54 in a series about the signers of the Declaration of Independence.
Scottish born lawyer James Wilson of Pennsylvania was one of only a few signers of both the Declaration and the US Constitution. As an early supporter of independence he argued in a 1774 pamphlet that Parliament had no authority to pass laws for the American colonies because the colonies had no representation in Parliament. He went on to become one of the most influential framers of the US Constitution and a Justice of the Supreme Court after independence.
