Ahoy there, mateys! Captain Barnacle Pete be seekin' a hardy crew for a grand treasure hunt in the village of Clipton, Northamptonshire! While rummaging through a dusty sea chest aboard his ship, the captain uncovered an ancient scroll covered in faded markings, crooked arrows, and several suspicious gravy stains. The mysterious parchment spoke of hidden treasure linked to All Saints Church and claimed that only those who could find the gravestone of Tom Orbell and his wife would uncover the numbers needed to chart the course to the final cache hidden somewhere within the village itself.
Standing watch for nearly a thousand years, All Saints Church be the oldest surviving building in Clipston and proudly carries Grade I listed status. First built in the 11th century, the church offers a remarkable glimpse into England's early medieval past. Much of the mighty structure seen today was rebuilt during the 13th century, blending sturdy Norman craftsmanship with later architectural treasures, while Victorian restorations helped keep the old landmark shipshape for generations to come.
Naturally, Captain Barnacle Pete marched straight to the ancient church with Kevin the parrot squawking directions that were mostly unhelpful. After dramatically inspecting several entirely incorrect gravestones "fer pirate clues," the captain finally realised the scroll's instructions were genuine.
