Beam o’ Rest

The next stage of the hunt brought the crew toward a weathered location known as Beam o’ Rest. Legend claimed exhausted pirates once stopped there to recover after attempting to sail a ship through a pond that was clearly far too small. Pete inspected the area carefully while Kevin perched nearby offering deeply unhelpful advice such as “Try looking where the hidden thing is hidden.” During the search, Pete leaned too heavily on a rotten branch and tumbled backwards into the mud with such force that Kevin briefly checked whether the earth had cracked open. Somehow, despite the chaos, the captain uncovered the next clue and insisted the fall had been “a deliberate tactical manoeuvre.”
