Captain Barnacle Pete Uncovers Pirate Secrets
Captain Voss’s Lost Sequence
(the cache is not at the listed coordinates)

Ahoy there, mateys! Captain Barnacle Pete and Kevin the parrot had crossed stormy seas, cursed marshes, and more than one suspiciously haunted lay-by when they uncovered an ancient parchment known only as Captain Voss’s Lost Sequence. The brittle scroll was said to contain the final clues left behind by the legendary pirate Captain Voss before his treasure vanished without trace centuries ago. Most believed the sequence to be nonsense — a jumble of strange pirate words scattered across three cryptic lines — but Pete swore the old captain had hidden a secret code within the chaos itself.
Perched high upon the cliffs as the sun dipped below the horizon, Pete carefully copied the mysterious phrases from the parchment:
“Fathoms Jolly Eyepatch Compass Galleon Ember”
“Deck Deck Compass Island Buccaneer Fiddler”
“Jettison Cutlass Compass Jolly Ember Jettison”
Kevin squawked excitedly as Pete studied the strange collection of words before suddenly thumping his peg leg into the ground. “Aye! Captain Voss be usin’ the pirate alphabet code!” he roared. “Beware, mateys — when the number grows too large fer a single digit, Captain Voss only kept the second number!”
With the secret finally revealed, Pete realised the Lost Sequence was not a map at all, but the key to unlocking a hidden Reverse Wherigo said to guard the final resting place of Captain Voss’s forgotten treasure. Now the challenge passes to ye, brave adventurer. Decode the sequence, uncover the hidden numbers, and use them wisely to chart the course to the lost cache before the sea reclaims the secret forever.
May the winds guide yer compass true, mateys… fer Captain Barnacle Pete believes only the cleverest treasure hunters can outwit Captain Voss’s Lost Sequence!
