Geocache Description:

Captain Barnacle Pete Explores Clipston

Village Hall Series 1886 - Clipston

(the cache is not at the listed coordinates)

Ahoy there, mateys! Captain Barnacle Pete be recruitin’ brave adventurers fer another grand voyage across the village o’ Clipston, Northamptonshire! While searching through a battered sea chest stuffed with faded village maps and biscuit crumbs, the captain uncovered a curious journal filled with sketches of an old hall said to guard clues to hidden treasure. Pete immediately declared himself “official village treasure inspector,” despite Kevin the parrot reminding him the captain once got lost in a garden maze fer two hours. Rumour has it the crafty captain may also have hidden an extra hint within another nearby cache fer those clever enough to seek it out.

Clipston Village Hall stands at the heart of the village and has long served as an important gathering place for the local community. Surrounded by peaceful countryside and historic village buildings, the hall continues to host community events and activities, remaining an important part of village life within Clipston today.

With Kevin squawking noisy sea shanties overhead, Captain Barnacle Pete searched around the village hall in pursuit of the mysterious clues hidden within the journal’s pages. After inspecting several entirely unrelated noticeboards and confidently accusing a wheelie bin of “guardin’ pirate treasure,” the captain finally realised the clues could be gathered safely from the sign above the main entrance door. Yer mission be simple, mateys: use the clues hidden there to solve the puzzle and chart yer course to the hidden treasure.
