About Victor Harbor Station
Victor Harbor Railway Station stands as one of South Australia's most historic railway destinations and is the southern terminus of the famous Cockle Train line.
The railway between Adelaide and Victor Harbor was completed in 1884, providing an important transport link for passengers, agricultural produce, and goods travelling between the Fleurieu Peninsula and the state capital. The line became affectionately known as the Cockle Train, a name inspired by the families who once travelled between Victor Harbor and Goolwa to collect cockles from the beaches at Middleton.
