You are cordially (and circularly) invited to celebrate Tau Day: the holiday that goes all the way around the circle.
On June 28, the mathematically enlightened gather to honor τ (tau), the constant that boldly declares, “Why stop at π when you can have twice as much fun?”
Tau, for the uninitiated, is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its radius, sometimes denoted 2π, approximately 6.28, and beloved by those who believe math should come with clearer formulas and larger desserts.
Some say Tau is the superior constant. Some say it’s a revolution. We say any excuse to eat more pie is a good excuse.
So join us as we celebrate the only holiday that encourages you to: Eat. Twice. The. Pie. (We don’t make the rules. Tau does.)
Bring your appetite, your sense of humor, and your willingness to debate geometry over dessert.
Event starts at 6:28 pm. (Notice a pattern here?) Feel free to come earlier if you want to grab a meal.
