Pine Canyon Conservation Area
Adventure Lab Bonus
The cache is not at the listed coordinates
Complete the PCCA Trailhead Adventure Lab — all five stops in the trailhead parking lot — to reveal the final coordinates for this bonus.
The view from the hilltop
Once you have the coordinates, it's a short uphill scramble. The hilltop offers one of the best views over the conservation area — well worth the climb.
Getting there
Park at the trailhead, finish the Adventure Lab there, and the coordinates will be released to you. No shade up on the hilltop; bring water. The slope is loose in places so watch your step.
First time at Pine Canyon?
The Pine Canyon Conservation Area is over 3,000 acres of protected open space — the former International Smelter (1910 to the mid-1970s). The Wildlife sign at the trailhead lists six common animals you might see here, including mule deer, coyote, and elk. The same parking lot is the trailhead for the 8-cache PCCA Tour letterbox series that walks the rest of the story.
