King Boreas is not the oldest cacher in Minnesota, but has been one of the most prolific hiders at a time when there were limited numbers of caching to be found. No one knew that Geocaching would catch on and there were not many/any traditions at the start. Minnesota cachers wasted no time creating some new terms and traditions. Here are some of the defintitions that may help you as a Minnesota Geocacher.

King Boreas is the geocaching pseudonym of Ian Stevens, a legendary figure in the global geocaching community and the most prolific cache hider in Minnesota. Based in Minneapolis, he has been a foundational pioneer of the sport since its early days in the state, starting his journey in 2001(June 21). |
