The Legend of Letterzilla
Deep in the wilds of geocaching lore, a creature stirs… part legend, part stamp-inked nightmare, all obsession.
They call it Letterzilla. And it is hungry for finds. Letterbox finds.
They say Letterzilla was born in a forgotten geocaching forum thread when someone asked:
“What if a challenge cache actually hated us?”
Since then, it has been collecting stories, ink pads, and the mild suffering of geocachers who thought, “How hard could it be?”
It grows stronger with every log entry.
The Challenge
To claim victory over Letterzilla, you must complete its sacred task:
Find 81 letterbox hybrid caches, each one with a unique Difficulty/Terrain (D/T) rating combination. Just 81 distinct stamps on your journey through chaos. From the deceptively easy 1/1 sidewalk sneaks to the soul-testing 5/5 bushwhack epics, every D/T rating must be represented at least once.
The Journey
You will hike.
You will climb.
You will reach.
You will question your life choices somewhere around your 47th find.
You will begin to recognize terrain ratings in your sleep.
You will develop strong opinions about swampy 3.5 terrain.
And eventually…if you persist…
You will stand before the final stamp, ink-stained and victorious, and whisper:
“I have defeated Letterzilla.”
Finisher's Reward
Bragging rights of mythic proportion.
A sense of accomplishment that may or may not be immediately replaced by the urge to start another challenge.
And your name, if you survive, etched forever into the growing legend of the beast.
