This is the twenty-eigth in our series of gatherings in Sheffield, held at Meadowhall. This months is a week later than usual but hopefully you'll still be able to come along and enjoy the geochat, the chat about all sorts of other random subjects (and boy can they be random!) and the general Steel City shenanigans. The regular host is away this time, spreading the word of all things Yorkshire in the dark-lands of Scotland, helping enlighten the haggis eating kilt wearing northerners about "God's Own County", but don't worry it's a communial thing and we all muck in together.
As usual we will be in the Oasis eating area in the Meadowhall Shopping Centre on the northeast of the city, which we have found to be handy for visitors from other parts of South Yorkshire and beyond. There is of course no obligation to buy any food or drink!
This is an informal get together of geocachers to chat about all things caching and non-caching and perhaps a chance to put faces to names you've only seen in logs. Cachers old and new are welcome - if you haven't been to an event before, drop us a message beforehand and we'll look out for you.
There will of course be an opportunity for swapping trackables but bear in mind that many of us may be on public transport, so large items may be impractical.
The venue offers a variety food and refreshments and is very accessible. There is plenty of free parking and the centre is well-served by trains and buses.
When: Wednesday 17th June 2026 from 6.00pm
Where: We will be upstairs on the balcony in the Oasis, in the seating area near the restaurants.
We hope to see you there! Background image: Vladsinger, CC0, via Wikimedia
