🌲 Survivor: Geos vs. Muggles – Cipher Forest 🌲

Welcome to the special edition season of Survivor:  Geos vs. Muggles – Cipher Forest.  You have been selected as one of the castaways this season.  You have been nicknamed “GC”, short for GeoCacher of course.  The storyline is not real, but the ciphers and puzzles are.  Be aware there will be hiking involved in finding many of the caches. Good Luck.

MEET THE HOST:

The helicopter blades thunder across the tree canopy of Lake Ontelaunee as 18 castaways grip the edges of their seats. Some look excited. Others look terrified. All of them have NO idea how mentally brutal this season is about to get.

The chopper banks and drops low toward a clearing, where one man waits.

It is the iconic JeffProbst67.  Or as the players will come to call him… JP67.

🔥 “Welcome to the Cipher Forest!” 🔥

The castaways jump from the helicopter and gather at the edge of the forest. After the usual “Hi, nice to meet you, please don’t vote me out later” introductions, JP67 wastes no time.

“This season isn’t like any season before. Because out here… if you can’t solve THE DAILY CIPHER… your torch gets snuffed automatically. Every single day, you will receive a cipher. Solve it, use the coordinates, find the hidden cache, and sign the log. Fail… and you’re gone.”

Gasps. Nervous laughter. Someone mutters, “What’s a Cipher?”

JP67 smirks at the contestants… This is a cipher. And it is the fan favorite of geocaching.com.

Puzzle skills are power in this game. Brains might beat brawn this season. And suddenly everyone wishes they had practiced more than just terrain ratings to master hiking.

Welcome to Survivor: Geocacher Edition. Where every day is a puzzle, and every wrong answer could be your last.

Then JP67 divides them into two tribes: Geos (GCBQM8Z) and Muggles (GCBQM93) and throws the Muggles a Portable Geocaching Toolbox, a great TOTT to help them in the game.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.

Note:  This cache has the hunting attribute selected. Hunters wear orange, and when the time is right, so should you. During hunting season, it is best to do this series on a Sunday. The majority of the cache containers are hidden within 10 - 20 feet from the trail. Since these caches are hidden in the woods, you will encounter things like wildlife, poison ivy, bugs, ticks, etc. That is just part of geocaching in the great outdoors. Good Luck.
