Geocache Description:

Over time, I have accumulated more swag for geocaches than I will ever possibly use. On top of that, when HelloMummy relocated, she did not want to haul her accumulated goodies and gave them to me.

Fast forward to today, and an extra bedroom jam-packed with trinkets, toys, and "treasure" that needs other homes. I will bring multiple tubs of swag for attendees and encourage you to bring your own extra stuff if you need to get rid of some as well. Bring as many bags, boxes, and baskets (man, the alliteration in this write-up!) as you'd like to fill your own coffers, caching bags, and caches (ok, I'll stop) for FREE!

We shall gather 6:00 PM - 7:30ish PM at:
Hatcher's On Target BBQ
1366 N Wright Rd
Alcoa, TN 37701

As with all our events, everyone is invited and no purchase is necessary. If you're new to the game and/or area or have been playing since dinosaurs were using GPS receivers, come join us and pick the brains of some of the geocaching legends from around here, even if they are only legends in their own minds.

We'll even have a drawing for a few door prizes.

Hope you can join us. Cache ya later!

Logging Etiquette: Geocache hiders sometimes go through a great deal of planning and effort to create and place their caches. As a result, they'd like to hear your feedback on whether you liked or disliked any aspect of the hide, the journey, or the location, or if you feel that some cache maintenance is required. Single-word, acronym, or "copy and paste" logs may be easier when you have a lot of caches to log, but they don't tell the hider or other finders anything about your adventure (or lack thereof) in finding the cache. Please keep this in mind when entering your log.
Travel Bug Etiquette: Cachers pay good money for Travel Bugs and Geocoins. If you take a TB or GC from a cache, PLEASE ensure it is correctly logged in and out. If you take one that still shows it is somewhere else, please be patient before “grabbing” the item; it does not get its mileage by being grabbed before the last person to drop it has had time to log their placement. This is particularly important on busy and new caches. If you have an issue with a bug or coin, please e-mail or message the owner through their profile and advise them of the issue; they will be pleased to hear from you.
