Unlike most pirates, Redthorn was said to spend his time ashore wandering the countryside between Naseby and Haselbech, following the same circular route whenever his travels brought him back to Northamptonshire. Nobody knew why. Some claimed he had hidden treasure along the way. Others believed the route concealed a secret known only to the old pirate himself. Determined to uncover the truth, Pete and Kevin the Feathered First Mate set off to follow Redthorn's footsteps. Their journey began at No Rum Today!, where Pete was horrified by the name and immediately suspected foul play. According to local legend, Redthorn once arrived here after a long journey only to discover his supplies had run dry. Pete declared such a tragedy should never be allowed to happen to a pirate. Hidden amongst the old stories of the route was the first clue, revealing that Redthorn's mystery stretched far beyond a simple treasure hunt.
