The trail soon climbed towards The Crow's Nest, where Redthorn was said to enjoy one of the finest views along the entire route. Pete immediately approved of this tradition and spent several minutes scanning the horizon like a ship's lookout. Despite being many miles from the nearest coastline, he remained convinced he could spot incoming vessels. The clue hidden within Redthorn's story suggested that this viewpoint had become one of the pirate's favourite places, though nobody knew exactly why.
