The next stage brought them to The Gatekeeper's Secret, where an old story spoke of a local man who regularly met Redthorn during his travels. Nobody knew the man's name, but he was said to possess a remarkable talent for telling stories. Redthorn apparently stopped here whenever possible simply to listen. Pete was puzzled by this. If there was no treasure involved, why keep coming back? The answer remained frustratingly out of reach.
