Captain Barnacle Pete Explores Naseby
Church Micro 7863...Naseby - Methodist
(the cache is not at the listed coordinates)
Ahoy there, mateys! While exploring the historic village of Naseby, Captain Barnacle Pete discovered a weathered journal filled with sketches, symbols, and mysterious clues linked to two of the village's best-known landmarks. Convinced he had stumbled upon the trail of a long-lost pirate treasure, Pete immediately began plotting an expedition. Kevin the parrot, however, pointed out that pirates rarely left treasure maps in quiet Northamptonshire villages.
Naseby Methodist Church has stood at the heart of the community since 1826 and remains an important part of village life today. Nearby stands the historic Naseby Market Cross, a reminder of the village's long history as a local centre of trade and gathering. Together, these landmarks reflect different chapters of Naseby's past, helping to tell the story of the village's religious, social, and commercial heritage.
With Kevin rolling his eyes at every wild theory, Captain Barnacle Pete set off to investigate the two landmarks described within the journal. After carefully studying inscriptions, examining entirely ordinary stones, and insisting the Market Cross must be part of an ancient pirate code, the captain finally realised that the clues he needed were hidden in plain sight. Yer mission be simple, mateys: use the clues shown below from both places to solve the puzzle and chart yer course to the hidden treasure.
