Kevin's Revenge on Captain Barnacle Pete

Kevin Strikes Back

Captain Barnacle Pete had spent the morning laughing after sending Kevin on a wild goose chase that resulted in the Captain having to rescue him after he got stuck high up in a tree.

Kevin wasn't about to let that go.

Later that afternoon, he came swooping down from the branches, squawking excitedly. "Captain! Captain! I've spotted treasure!"

Pete's eye lit up immediately. Following Kevin's directions, he searched the tree from top to bottom. He stretched, climbed, peered into every branch and inspected every knot in the bark, convinced that treasure was hidden somewhere above.

Meanwhile, Kevin sat comfortably on a nearby branch, trying very hard not to laugh.

After twenty minutes of searching, Pete finally admitted defeat. "I can't find it anywhere!"

Kevin grinned. "Oh, I know exactly where it is, Captain. After this morning, I thought it was about time ye had a turn searching a tree!"
