Alaskan Geocachers & visitors alike, come one, come all, and join us at the Portage Railroad station for a quick snack, hello, and swapping of Geocaching stories on Sunday, August 16th. Everyone, everyone, everyone is welcome at this event!
After the event is over, some folks will board the train and head to Spencer Glacier via the Glacier Discovery Train whistle stop. If you'd like to join us and come caching at Spencer Glacier, you can arrange your own transport or buy tickets on the Alaska Railroad. The train leaves Portage at 1:25 pm and arrives at Spencer Glacier at 1:45 pm, at which point we will have until 4:40 pm to explore Spencer Glacier before the train comes back and brings us back to Portage at 5:15 pm.
Please log your "will attend" so we know how many treats to bring and let us know if you plan to hop aboard afterwards or head off to other adventures up and down the Seward Highway!
