On July 4, 2026, the United States celebrates an extraordinary milestone, its 250th anniversary, also known as the Semiquincentennial. Join fellow geocachers at Woodsom Farm as we commemorate two and a half centuries of American history, community, exploration, and adventure.
Just as geocaching encourages us to discover hidden places and connect with others, this anniversary invites us to reflect on the journeys that have shaped our nation and the adventures still ahead. Geocachers have always enjoyed exploring history, landmarks, and places of significance, making this a perfect opportunity to combine our hobby with this once-in-a-generation national milestone. Whether you're a seasoned cacher with thousands of finds or someone attending your very first event, everyone is welcome to gather and celebrate this historic occasion.

Woodsom Farm
Located on Lion's Mouth Road in Amesbury, Massachusetts, Woodsom Farm is one of the city's most treasured public spaces. Encompassing approximately 379 acres, the property was acquired by the City of Amesbury in 1989 to preserve it from future development and protect its agricultural and scenic character for generations to come. At one time, Woodsom Farm was among the largest dairy farms in Essex County and remains an important part of Amesbury's rural heritage.
Today, Woodsom Farm serves as a multi-use recreation area featuring expansive open fields, wooded trails, wetlands, and wildlife habitat. The property connects with the Amesbury Town Forest, creating a large network of protected land that offers opportunities for hiking, birdwatching, cross-country skiing, sledding, and other outdoor activities throughout the year.
