Welcome to the Next Evolution of Geocaching!
Geocaching has taken you to mountains, forests, and secret tunnels—but have you ever had to step into another virtual world on your way to find a cache?
This geocache is the first of its kind in Georgia: a Virtual Reality(VR) Geocaching Adventure. You will begin your journey in a custom-built VR space, in an environment beyond the physical world. Once you’ve gotten the clues in the digital realm and solved the puzzle, you’ll return to reality to reach the final geocache.
This is where the future of geocaching meets the roots of the game—blending the digital with the wild!
How to Play:
- Step Into the Virtual World. Click the link below to enter a fully immersive VR space. You can explore it on a computer, phone, or even a VR headset for the full experience!
- Solve the Puzzle. Inside the VR world, you will find clues that will help you get the final coordinates.
- Return to Reality. Armed with your newly discovered coordinates, it’s time to head out to the real-world and find the geocache hidden in its final location.
What You’ll Need:
- A device with internet access (VR headset, phone, tablet, or computer)
- A GPS-enabled device to navigate to the final cache
- A sense of adventure for both the digital and natural worlds
Important Notes:
- This is a one-of-a-kind geocache! You must complete the VR portion to unlock the real-world find.
- No VR headset is required, but will enhance the experience. No software needs to be downloaded. You can use a web browser on your phone, laptop, or desktop computer. Be prepared for an immersive geocaching experience.
- The final location is in the real-world.

The story behind this cache
A few years ago, I decided to "un-retire" and go back to work. This meant that K9CacherSav and I didn't have near as much free time to go caching. A few months ago, Kingston got tired of just laying around the house all day and decided he wanted to take up an additional hobby. He told me that he wanted take up painting and asked me to help him buy some supplies. I was pretty skeptical, but I said I would help.
We ordered all kinds of supplies and found some courses he could take at the University of Youtube to get started. It didn't take him very long to figure out how to hold a brush, and before I knew it, he was cranking out a lot of impressive paintings
It was then that I had an idea. I told him that I was going to create a Virtual Art Gallery where we could share his amazing talent.
When I got home from work the next day, K9 met me at the door and said "Hey, I've been thinking, what if we use this art gallery as a puzzle for a cache?" I said, "That is a great idea. We could easily hide some numbers in one of the paintings." He said, "I was thinking about using a really cool method that I've seen. You pick a spot and get some coords, and I'll take it from there."
So, the result is the Virtual Art Gallery, which contains all the info you will need to come up with some coordinates for the Final location.
