June 28 is the last day in June I need to attend an event to fill my monthly calendar. I discovered it's World Tree Day -- what fun! Since I love all sorts of trees, I wanted to host this event surrounded by trees -- the Chambers Lake Trailhead Park is just the place -- plenty of parking, restrooms, a couple of picnic tables, and a small shelter in case of rain, and a variety of trees. There is even a boat launch.
The entrance to the park is off 14th Ave SE at the tip of the lake. The sign says Chehalis Western Trailhead at Chambers Lake.
I'll be there from 9:30-10:30am. Come celebrate trees, geocaching, summer, or anything else.
