This cache is located near Avoca's old water tank on Cambridge Street. The tank is believed to have been part of the town's historic water supply system, built to help provide water to the growing town after the gold rush. Today it stands among the gum trees as a reminder of Avoca's past.

Take a moment to spot the tank and imagine how important it once was to the town before modern water systems were built.
