Geocache Description:

Northwest 6 is one of the original DC boundary stones, laid down in 1791-1792 by Andrew Ellicott, Benjamin Banneker, and others to mark every mile of the boundary of the federal territory of the District of Columbia and Maryland. This stone now lies in a small meadow with a memorial plaque, and is caged (to keep it from getting loose I guess). The cache is among the nearby trees.
