The 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence is on July 4, 2026. To celebrate this anniversary, this cache has been placed in the Wade Hampton Veterans Park in North Augusta, GA. It is a solemn and patriotic place, with cenotaphs dedicated to each of the wars since the country was founded.
The coordinates will take you to a locked ammo box. To open it, you will need four numbers. Your mission is to find the numbers, in the correct order, that will unlock the box.
STEP ONE: Find the appropriate cenotaph to provide answers to the 4 tasks below:
1. World War I – Third letter of the 19th word
2. In Memory Of….. Last letter of the 10th word
3. Vietnam War – First letter of the 12th word
4. War of 1812 – First letter of the 5th word
STEP TWO: Now go back to the ammo box and do two things:
5. Using the order of the letters you found in Step 1, find four numbers on the ammo box.
6. The correct order of those numbers will open the lock.
